LFFC provides a wide range of opportunities to develop, strengthen, and grow your start-up or established local food or farm co-operative or social enterprise. Below, find our list of membership benefits and our membership add-on packages. Each package is designed to provide additional support and can be tailored to your needs.

Lifetime Membership

  • Provide input into the organization's strategic direction, make and pass resolutions at member meetings, and discuss the business of LFFC.

  • We actively promote our members through sharing your story, food cultures and traditions and how you contribute to diverse local communities in Ontario.

  • Display our logo on your website and other promotional materials to demonstrate your commitment to the co-operative model, principles and movement.

  • Discounts to event, workshops and training on various topics and hosted by experts in the field.

    *Purchase a Grow Package for only $100/per year and access free events, workshops and training.

  • Build meaningful connections with other LFFC members through our LFFC Member Circle. The Circle is a space for us to spread innovation, build capacity and foster collaboration across our networks. Share ideas, swap stories, ask questions, and more!

  • Access members-only content. Over 200+ tools, resources, worksheets, and exercises on co-op development, financing, governance, sample policies, feasibility studies, land trusts, and more!

We understand that there are challenges and barriers that arise for any start-up and established co-operatives and social enterprises. When becoming an LFFC Member, you'll have the opportunity to add on a Grow Package and Bloom Package, where you can access tailored support that fits your needs. From strategic planning, marketing and communications to conflict resolution and board governance, we have something for you at any stage of your food co-op or farm business. When filling out your application form, select the package best fit for you.

Cost: $10/per month or $100/per year

  • Peer learning networks where we spread innovation, build capacity and foster collaboration.

  • Access Co-ops on Your Desktop. This is a self-guided curriculum for start-up and established co-operatives and social enterprises to develop, strengthen or improve.

  • Attend free events, workshops and training, shaped by industry and place-based insights and experiences.

  • We continue to share what’s happening in the sector. You’ll find inspiration, share stories, explore content, connect with others, and access resources on a wide range of topics

  • Join our Circles, peer learning networks where we spread innovation, build capacity and foster collaboration.
